Chuck Bowen Slant Magazine David Hackl often shoots his bear in fashions that accent its lumbering, powerful grace, even during its death rattle. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 21, 2015 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed It's a well acted, and often engrossing survival adventure... Aug 5, 2015 Full Review Stephen Danay Under the Radar While the final climax provides some modest thrills, the hour and change leading up to it is not worth the price of admission. Rated: 3/10 Jul 8, 2015 Full Review Rob Hunter Film School Rejects Watch it for the enjoyable cast, then throw in Backcountry for some real bear thrills. Rated: C Jul 1, 2015 Full Review Travis Hopson Examiner.com Grizzly and gory throwback to the man vs. nature movies of previous decades. Rated: 3/5 Jun 27, 2015 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat There are moments here that are so over-the-top loony, you might just find yourself clapping your hands and giggling in delight. And then there's all the other stuff. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 25, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Jeffrey P Like a cross between Cocaine Bear and Lake Placid minus the humor, and the cocaine and Lake Placid. Underrated, the cast sells it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/25/24 Full Review Spike G I forgot this movie existed Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Emilliano S Great casts but bland storyline. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Good cast, the bear was awesome, nice popcorn movie Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a B movie that falls somewhere into the C category. I’m honestly shocked that the cast agreed to be part of this film. The characters went absolutely no where and were poorly written. The premise was also incredibly stupid. They did their best to make this bear seem evil and revenge ridden, where it was simply reacting to its circumstances and some prick hunters getting into its business. The bear never even seemed intimidating. It was clearly choppy shots of a zoo raised bear. It might have been better with a poorly created CGI bear to be honest. Oh well, have it a try for the cast...but simply too shlocky for me Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/27/21 Full Review randy b Mostly ridiculous. Total Holly-wood buffoonery. Someone should have done even a little research to make it somewhat plausible? I like the cast and love the scenery but mostly I was shaking my head incredulously. This critique would be a mile long if I were to go through all the gross inaccuracies. I am not an expert but compared to whomever they consulted to make this movie I feel like one.
