Ian Freer Empire Magazine H Is For Happiness has more on its mind than most kids' flicks and delivers its ideas in an attractive, if familiar, package. Rated: 3/5 Apr 1, 2021 Full Review Teo Bugbee New York Times This unusual children's film may be fussy, but to its credit, it is not frivolous. Sep 17, 2020 Full Review John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter A candy coating with not much underneath. Sep 16, 2020 Full Review Tara McNamara Common Sense Media Add in a magical Shetland pony, elaborate discussions about string theory, a hunkering to travel to Nashville, and it feels like the plot is constantly spinning in different directions. Rated: 4/5 Jan 25, 2023 Full Review Jane Freebury The Canberra Times (Australia) H is for Happiness is a first feature for theatre director John Sheedy. He has brought a fresh YA angle to the Aussie coming-of-age comedy, and the entire production is a credit to everyone involved. Aug 23, 2022 Full Review Edward Porter Sunday Times (UK) As it stands, though, I'd say John Sheedy's movie is a goodhearted piece with glimmers of wit and likeable actors. Alicia R I would ask Barry Jonsberg how often he appropriates the writing of his traumatized child patients who trusted him to have their best interests at heart when evaluating them. We have a problem with adults stealing intellectual property from people in vulnerable situations. If I remember he evaluated me for a case and I wrote something very similar to this story. I was obsessed with Pippi Longstocking and also use Howdy Doody. If I remember Barry had me write a story as a form of healing. It may not be exactly the same but I believe it is close enough. I told the judge of my concerns at the time but was told nothing happened yet. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Sometimes you just need to watch a ‘feel good' film where you know nothing bad is going to happen. Well, apart from Miss Bamford's rotating eye and Candice's projectile vomiting that, I must confess, made me feel slightly queasy. Young Daisy Axon is very watchable. A gentle, quirky film, that is grounded by the storyline around one of life's harsher realities. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A lovely feel good movie. Douglas Benson from another dimension haha.....absolutely brilliant. Defo a must watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved it!-really entertaining and well acted Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
