wendy k It was okay but very repetitive. There were a lot of famous stars in it. I wonder how the director decided to come up with the idea .I found the first hour not great, but I enjoyed the second half. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/03/24 Full Review Ashlyn H I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of this documentary. Although the topic was interesting, it was overall so boring. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/08/22 Full Review Kai K I enjoyed the film, it was entertaining enough to sit though and has a good point on stereotypes and sexism but I wouldn't say it was an astronomical film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/08/22 Full Review Audience Member The purpose of this statistical and personal documentary is providing an argumentative statement responding to an action that supports the framed concern whilst supposedly ongoing with a need to update on the topic's current coverage. It bluntly calls out Hollywood over their now apparent sexist discrimination as women filmmakers, who are just as driven and passionate as the other gender in the field, details their careers and what sort of treatment they received with lesser opportunities. Therefore, understandably one-sided which is titularly purposeful as this is a formed letter of complaint that will be ignored and not provide answers/explanations towards the overall picture, otherwise the insights would be helpfully supported in a deeper sense but top heads' cowardice fears backlash over their reasoning that would put them into more negativity. Also, as expected despite already honored the women pioneer's social groundbreaking barriers in early cinema, the topic coverage stands incomplete when lacking historical contexts that adds more fighting chance importance to the role whereas actual credit is due then minimally realized out secret then erased acknowledgement. This documentary is a must-see relevant essentiality that stands among other documentaries particularly on film with dated but still timely urgency. (B+) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Such an important view of this industry...Pity it'll just be another movie that will preach to the choir and won't make waves... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Great directors line up one after the other to reveal just how entrenched & crippling the scourge of patriarchy is in the film business.
