mary ellen s Dreadful use of music--unsophisticated, overly dramatic. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/28/24 Full Review CodyZamboni Movie is Eastwood's first American studio film as a leading man, is a bland misfire. A semi attempt to replicate a Spaghetti Western, that comes close with music and star, and the revenge plot works to a point. Movie starts strong but grows tedious due to muddled presentation. Theme of levels of frontier justice, ethics, are also muddled. Cheaply made, with same famous MGM Western town set repeatedly redressed as five different towns. Lots of famous faces in supporting roles. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Melanie B Such a good western. No one does westerns better than Clint! 👍💯 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, I had forgotten how good this one is oh yes I highly recommend it James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas, April 21, 2023 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/21/23 Full Review Logan M Hang ‘em High is an interesting western about justice, but there isn't quite enough for me to recommend it to non Clint Eastwood fans. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/18/23 Full Review kevin d Great vehicle for Clint when he was in his prime. The film doesn't overreach and embraces a lot of the silent reluctant hero tenets that made Eastwood such a success/star. Look closely at the technical stuff done extraordinarily well: the various lighting schemes, the backgrounds' Production Design and sets, and the interesting camera movements. Really well composed and thought out, great artistry! And good musical score that tips its hat to classical bits, Mexican tinged music, and Americana. Give this movie a shot but watch closely for the tech details. Well done! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
