Happy Gilmore is a 1996 American sports comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan ⛳️ It's ok, but I feel mixed about this one 😉 I'd recommend it if you like this genre, but if not then probably give it a miss 👍🏼👎🏼 Failed hockey player-turned-golf whiz Happy Gilmore -- whose unconventional approach and antics on the grass courts the ire of rival Shooter McGavin -- is determined to win a PGA tournament so he can save his granny's house with the prize money. Meanwhile, an attractive tour publicist tries to soften Happy's image.

"Happy Gilmore" is a completely silly movie that knows exactly what it needs to be. The movie has plenty of goofy laughs and the story is fun, while nonsensical. Adam Sandler is fun to watch and I think the character he creates here is ultimately endearing and easy to root for. I think sometimes the movie's wavelength is a bit much, but I think anyone who is willing to get on it will enjoy themselves. Overall, it is a goofy comedy that makes me want to watch more of Sandler's earlier comedies and is a quick and entertaining watch.
