Hayseed is a film with a home town touch and gentle humor. It would make a good television series. Go to Full Review

Writer/director Travis Burgess sets himself a difficult task in HAYSEED. It’s both a comedy set in a small town in Michigan filled with eccentric characters and a mystery whodunnit. Fortunately for us, he manages to pull off this juggling act. Go to Full Review

Feb 2 A trailer in color and movie in B&W? More made for TV that plods along. Snoozefest. See more AE J Jan 18 A novel gem that nods to other films of it's genre, the flick possesses an innocent humor that becomes nearly atmospheric without becoming completley camp. Interesting in that performances are at times just that performative, intentionally and deliberately so, still the acting remains quite genuine; a difficult feat to pull off. Appreciate the writing and directing by Burgess but the whodunit would have benefited from tighter editing yet the effort manages to keep the audience engaged. Particularly enjoyed performances given by Bill Sage, Ismenia Mendes and Jack Falahee. Overall a refreshing surprise. See more Lyn G @lynda2006 Jan 1 Captures small town culture perfectly.
