Synopsis
Habitual thief Peter Rayston (Tom Bell) is released from prison and begins planning his next series of robberies. When he meets Joanne (Judi Dench), a social worker who attempts to reform him, Rayston is tempted to give up his life as a criminal and go straight. However, after Joanne snubs his romantic advances, Rayston plans and executes a series of audacious burglaries to overcome his anguish, even as Joanne pleads for him to mend his criminal ways.
