Paul Rogers was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Rogers's earliest roles were in film, including the dramatic adaptation "Beau Brummell" (1954) with Stewart Granger, "The Beachcomber" (1955) with Glynis Johns and the Donald Wolfit drama "Svengali" (1955). He also appeared in the Peter Finch dramatic adaptation "The Trials of Oscar Wilde" (1960), the comedic adaptation "Our Man in Havana" (1960) with Alec Guinness and "Circle of Deception" (1960). His film career continued throughout the sixties in productions like the Terence Stamp dramatic adaptation "Billy Budd" (1962), the dramatic adaptation "Stolen Hours" (1963) with Susan Hayward and the Richard Attenborough drama "The Third Secret" (1964). He also appeared in "The Wild and the Willing" (1964). During the latter half of his career, he continued to act in "I Want What I Want" (1971), the Cyril Cusack dramatic adaptation "The Homecoming" (1973) and the musical "Lost in the Stars" (1974) with Brock Peters. He also appeared in "The Abdication" (1974) and the musical comedy "Mr. Quilp" (1975) with Anthony Newley. Rogers most recently acted in "Oscar and Lucinda" (1997) with Ralph Fiennes.
