Gunslinger Tex (Tex Ritter) and Chili (Syd Saylor), his trusty sidekick, get roped into fighting a group of cattle rustlers near a small Texas town. The theft turns deadly when the rustlers murder a group of cowhands on a ranch owned by Pop Hart (Charles French) and his daughter Laurie (Eleanor Stewart), whose ranch will go under if his stolen cattle aren't found. But, when Tex himself is accused of being in cahoots with the rustlers, mob anger threatens to help the real bad guys get away.
