Dylan performs well, though he looks a mite uncomfortable during the musical numbers. He certainly appears fitter than Everett whose voice is as wet and stilted as his performance.

…a wonderfully shallow and defiantly 80’s film about making it in the music biz…Bob Dylan’s every appearance reeks of disinterest in what here’s doing here…a complete disaster…

Absolutely dire acting and a really dull story - but this film sits among my favourites because Fiona Flanagan sings some songs which I did not already have. It surprises me that Rupert Everett and Julian Glover agreed to take part.
