David Nusair Reel Film Reviews Hell House LLC. III: Lake of Fire ultimately fares even worse than the first two pictures within this generally worthless trilogy... Rated: .5/4 Nov 2, 2024 Full Review David Keyes Cinemaphile.org In the final frames, after enduring what amounts to the bludgeoning of an entire idea, one can't help but wish the more thrilling original film was playing on screen instead. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 23, 2020 Full Review Michelle Swope Ghastly Grinning Hell House LLC: Lake of Fire features a creative story and some new scares that are very effective. Nov 3, 2019 Full Review Andrew Wyatt The Lens The latest entry in a tedious, chintzy franchise that's akin to the saddest haunted house attraction in cinematic form. Rated: D Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Rob Hunter Film School Rejects The bigger the film's structure grows the weaker the foundation becomes until it all comes crashing down. Oct 3, 2019 Full Review Chloe Leeson Screen Queens Hell House LLC is far from a terrible offering. When its good, its skin-crawlingly terrifying, but when its bad its like a student film with a Marvel mindset of 'world expansion'. Sep 26, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

John H While this movie has some scares, it does not hold up well compared to the other HellHouse movies. The concept isn't well executed, and the acting isn't as sharp. There are still some scares, and I love the throwbacks to other movies. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/01/24 Full Review Anthony R Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire caps off the trilogy in a way that not only brings closure but also pushes the franchise to new heights. For me, this one almost matched the original—it had me hooked, and I couldn’t help but binge-watch the entire franchise in one sitting! With a blend of tension, mystery, and an absolutely mind-blowing twist, it stands out as a remarkable finale and cements Hell House LLC as one of the best found-footage horror series out there, even surpassing the Paranormal Activity franchise. What sets Lake of Fire apart is its ability to keep the suspense fresh while bringing back the familiar setting of the Abaddon Hotel. Just when you think you know everything about this place, the movie throws new horrors and unexpected revelations at you. The atmosphere feels thicker, the dread more intense, and the stakes higher than ever before. Hell House III takes the Abaddon’s dark, twisting narrative and gives it an ending that’s both satisfying and shocking. It doesn’t just rely on scares but dives deeper into the mythology, expanding on the hotel’s mysteries in ways that the first two films only hinted at. And that twist? It’s truly one of the most unexpected endings I’ve seen in any horror franchise. Just when you think you have the story figured out, the finale takes a hard left, giving fans a reveal that ties up loose ends while adding an extra layer of horror and intrigue. It’s the kind of twist that makes you want to rewatch the entire series, spotting clues and reliving the buildup with a new perspective. Overall, Hell House LLC III takes everything great about the franchise and amplifies it, delivering a finale that’s both rewarding and spine-chilling. For anyone who loves the genre, this trilogy proves that found footage horror, when done right, can deliver a story and scares that linger long after the credits roll. If you’re a fan of horror with depth and an unforgettable twist, Hell House LLC should be at the top of your list. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review mike b It's a pretty good horror movie, it wraps the 1st 2 films up nicely. There's a fair amount of symbolism and Christian references involved since it has to do with hell and the lake of fire. Like when they had bread and red wine together at the bar, it practically communion and a small last supper reference. All in all its a fairly well put together series and this definitely helped wrap together the 1st 2 movies. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/24 Full Review Logan M On the third out of all four installments and it feels like a big dip in quality. Yes it's kinda creepy, but too many flashbacks, I remember what happened I don't need a reminder every time. Too loud and loses the eerienes. Overall feels like an attempted remake of HHLLC1. Update, finished. I guess like only the relevant people get to stay in eternal hotel purgatory, what is this dim dumb dicky dog dookie of an ending, I tried to like this movie, if there was 0 stars I would do it Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Jerod S Lake of Fire drowns any originality or fire that the original Hell House had. Recycling the idea of having "theater" inside the haunted house was basically phoning the whole thing in. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Cassie D Final installment of three that take place at the Abadon Hotel. It's not completely aweful, but missing so much of what the first two had.
