Kam P Slow, painful and dragging to watch.Had to fast forward some times . Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review exer c It was consistently awful..terrible acting, terrible script, terrible casting..yeah just plain awful. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Cookie M This movie had its moments, acting was poorly done, with some exception. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/26/23 Full Review ronald h The premise of this film has been used so many times before, I'm amazed that filmmaker / actor Guisela Moro even bothered with this script. Writer Blake Blackman (Steve Daron) escapes to his publisher's remote cabin to work on his new novel, and horrible things happen. Can you say "Misery" or "Secret Window" or a dozen others? Blake brings along his mistress Angelica (Moro), while his hapless wife is home sick with some mysterious ailment. And when the two arrive at the cabin, TV news is reporting that three children have disappeared in the area over the past 18 months. While stopping for gas after a grocery run, Angelica sees a child locked in the backseat of an old car. Not able to make a 911 call (no cell signal, of course), she follows the car to an old house in the woods, where the kidnappers snatch her. Back at the cabin, a worried Blake calls the local backwoods cops, who immediately consider him a suspect. By the way, the rural town is called Castle Rock, although I'm sure Stephen King had nothing to do with this. The kidnappers are laughable cliches, snaggle-toothed "Deliverance" types. The acting, by both protagonists, is painfully amateurish. So is the script. Burt Reynolds plays the grandfather of one of the missing boys, but his appearance can't save the dismal proceedings. In fact, I can't find a single aspect of this film to recommend, other than a nice looking dog, whose performance is better than any of the humans'. It astounds me that ineptly made movies like this, without even a shred of originality, ever get made. Who finances this stuff? Do they actually expect it to make money? Some bad movies are fun to watch. Not this one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The basis of the plot had potential. The only decent actor in the movie is the dog. It felt like the writer gave all the parts to her friends and relatives. I found myself thinking that it was a lame attempt at emulating a Stephen King flick. (Castle Rock?! Really?!) Even the tiny bit played by Burt Reynolds fell short. Don't waste your time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a giant piece of crap. Too much going on at once. A lot of the storyline could have been left out. Just terrible, like it was written by school children. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
