Brandon S As if the moronic, contrived, extremely derivative and nauseating almost pure repetitions of the previous 3 installments weren't bad enough, combined with the insufferable performance of a cast of almost wholly unlikeables and apocryphal, seen-it-from-a-mile-away story, you'll be wishing Santa left his own yule log in your stocking rather than a copy of this. This is precisely why you don't milk a franchise that's already good and done. Jerks. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Michael P This was hard to get through, couldnt even finish it, it was all just pointless. This is not worth watching when you find yourself Home Alone. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/15/24 Full Review JoseCraft G boring and kevin is not home alone Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review McKay S You can't just replace every single one of the original actors, and still claim it's the same characters. This movie is just a cheap attempt to copy the vastly superior original two movies in the franchise. I prefer Home Alone 3 to this one, but not by much. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/19/24 Full Review Audience Member Upon my inaugural viewing of this in autumn 2016 when I was a senior in high school, I can say that I preferred this to Home Alone 3. Being that Kevin and his (only two?) siblings all appear to be around the same age, as well as the fact that this film is set in 2002, I’d be more inclined to call this a remake of sorts. From what I researched, this movie did not see a theatrical release. I believe this to be somewhat of a saving grace, as this would’ve easily been a box office flop. As far as casting goes, Mike Weinberg is atrocious. While he may have only been nine years old as of the time of filming, his acting is more akin to that of a kindergarten-age student. Macaulay Culkin portrayed a clever almost mature kid who had handyman abilities at a young age. The shallow parent figures are going through a divorce. Kevin’s siblings run him out of the house via bullying. He goes to stay at dad’s ‘smart’ mansion with him and his new fiancée. “Marv,” who looks an awful lot like Harry from 1 and 2, and his strangely attractive wife hear of a royal family coming to visit Kevin’s father and plan to kidnap their child for ransom. Through a series of predictable and uninspiring traps and an extremely tacky synth-horn soundtrack, Kevin and the butler, Mr. Prescott, foil the Marv and Vera’s plans and discover a secret tie with Molly, the housemaid. All’s well that ends well and the Wet Bandits are thrown in the slammer again. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/24 Full Review carolina d Com atuações horrorosas, roteiro e produção decadente, e uma história desnecessária, Home Alone 4 é tão ruim que nem podemos rir de seus (diversos) problemas.
