Louis Black Austin Chronicle This slightly better-than-average family film is all paint-by-numbers. Rated: 2/5 Apr 26, 2013 Full Review Sean O'Connell Washington Post The strongest scenes take place in dingy hotel rooms, on a deserted farm or in the rehab sessions. It's during these moments that "Home Run" swings for the fences, and often connects. Rated: 3/4 Apr 19, 2013 Full Review Tom Long Detroit News It's preaching the gospel of a 12-step recovery program with a heavy helping of Jesus for guidance. And the corn can get pretty high ... Rated: C+ Apr 19, 2013 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Home Run is likely the film that most people of faith who have ever struggled with substance abuse issues have been hoping would come around. Rated: 3.5/4.0 Sep 10, 2020 Full Review James Plath Movie Metropolis As Christian-themed movies go, this one may not be an over-the-fence hit, but decent enough acting almost compensates for a clichd plot that's intended as a too-obvious illustration/inspiration. Rated: 6/10 Oct 25, 2013 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com An inspirational and entertaining movie about a baseball player's road to recovery from addiction. donnie m good movie but 1 star off for all the gum chewers who chew like pigs! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review Rosana B Aqueles filmes bonitinhos sobre superação, perdão, redenção e fé, em Deus e em si mesmo... Aquele filme gospel previsível, emocionante e repetitivo... Provavelmente necessário... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review toby l Corny movie with a really predictable story and some terrible acting Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/23/23 Full Review Carlos T Minha opinião: Um filme que assisti sem grandes expectativas, porém o filme me surpreendeu, e gostei de te-lo assistido. Roteiro e enredo bem elaborado. Vale apena assistir? Sim com toda a família. Nota: 8,5 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/09/23 Full Review george c I really enjoy this movie.
