      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Horrible Bosses 2 may trigger a few belly laughs among big fans of the original, but all in all, it's a waste of a strong cast that fails to justify its own existence.

Robert W If you love comedy this has it. There is no story much, but the writing is nonstop funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Georgan G A comedy only for the open-minded viewer with a crude &/or sexual sense of humor. Since that describes me, obviously I am fine with it. It is not as good as the original, but so what? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Dakota A I couldn't even make it through the whole movie. The three main characters spend 95% of the movie incessantly arguing over each other, that you can't quite make out what they are saying and have difficulty following the storyline. Of the few instances I could make out what they are saying, it was utter stupidity, and not even the comical kind. I feel as though I've lost IQ points simply by being exposed to it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Baron V Frustratingly dumb. There are some funny moments, but the characters' stupidity is past the point of believable, which just makes it frustrating to watch. When you need your characters to constantly do impossibly dumb things in order to keep the plot moving forward, you are a bad writer. Also, they spend so much time loudly bickering with each other that it gets incredibly annoying. Waste of a cast of talented actors. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Koi P Stupid but funny stupid. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Ryan G Part 2 has always been failed money grab for Hollywood. This movie however is better than the first! Great cast, great story, and LOTS OF LAUGHS. Never thought I'd see Aniston giving it to Bateman on CCTV. OMG! Stephen Romei The Australian A foul-mouthed, sex-obsessed immature comedy that pushes the boundaries of decency. So, all in all, not a bad Friday-night flick after a hard week's work. Rated: 2.5/5 Dec 19, 2014 Full Review Richard Roeper Richard Roeper.com 'Horrible Bosses 2' is so lazy it's not even about horrible bosses. Rated: 1/5 Dec 14, 2014 Full Review Philippa Hawker The Age (Australia) Horrible Bosses 2 is more of the same, yet less. Rated: 2/5 Dec 12, 2014 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review If you laugh once during the 108-minute runtime, that will have been more than this critic. Rated: 1/4 Jul 16, 2022 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse There are more laughs on the average job application than in this workplace "comedy." It's misogyny masquerading as humour, with unlikeable characters and an inane premise that diminishes in interest as the running time increases. Rated: 1/5 Feb 2, 2021 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins The layered, long-winded conversations this time around are recited in such an interruptive routine that jokes are regularly lost in noise.
