Marcus R Nov 21 An amazing movie I loved it more than anything, truly actually incredible See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Aug 7 House Shark is one of the most painfully awful films I’ve ever watched—so bad that I wouldn’t even recommend it to my dog. From start to finish, it’s a nonstop exercise in how not to make a movie. The casting is an immediate problem. The dad and son dynamic is completely off—there’s zero chemistry, zero believability, and it’s almost like the actors had never met before filming. Their interactions feel forced and awkward, leaving you cringing instead of invested. The supporting cast doesn’t fare any better. The babysitter, for example, strips completely naked just to use the bathroom. No plot justification, no character development, no humor—it’s gratuitous and wildly inappropriate. Moments like that make the movie feel careless and desperate. Then there’s the plot itself, which is absurd even by B-movie standards. A shark lives in the plumbing system of the house, attacking people through toilets, sinks, bathtubs—basically anywhere water exists. Yes, that’s the premise, and yes, it’s as ridiculous as it sounds. One scene has the main guy returning from a date with pubic hair all over his face after hooking up with an over-the-top, grotesque woman. The film doesn’t pause for self-awareness—it just barrels forward, daring you to take it seriously. Technically, the movie is a disaster. The practical effects look cheap and laughable, the direction lacks any focus or tension, and the pacing jumps between random comedic beats and nonsensical horror sequences. It’s hard to know what the film is even trying to be: a comedy? A horror? A cautionary tale about plumbing safety? None of it lands. House Shark is more than just a bad movie—it’s an unflushed cinematic toilet. It makes you feel embarrassed on behalf of everyone involved, from the actors to the crew, and leaves you questioning how this ever made it to production. If you value your time, your dignity, or your love of absurd shark movies, stay far, far away. This is one disaster that truly lives up to its name. See more Lisa M Jul 28 My husband and I have watched this so many times. It’s brilliant. Most people don’t have the patience or appreciation for a movie like this but if you love low budget/b movies, this is your Everest. See more Zoe K 09/19/2024 It's hysterical and I've watched it like 4 times already. Very specific type of humor that really hits hard. See more compressed_balls 11/21/2023 they had sex with the house shark. 10/10 See more 06/23/2021 This movie was probably one of the worst movies I've ever watched it was so bad the acting was horrible it wasn't funny at all and the characters looked not the age of there roles like the father looked like he could be the kids brother not father it was so poorly put together so glad I never decided to buy this one I only give it half a star because it had the potential to be a fun movie the cover work looked awesome.
