Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Director Kevin Connor initially establishes a flavorful mood, but it gets frittered away thanks to some increasingly silly sequences and the general doltishness of the lead characters. Rated: 2/4 Feb 9, 2023 Full Review Scott Weinberg eFilmCritic.com Produced in the early 1980s by a Japanese production company, yet written, directed by, and starring tons of Americans, THWED is, well, it's really quite stupid is what it is. Audience Member An American family moves into a haunted house in Kyoto Japan. "The Grudge" this film is not. The film features corny samurai and geisha ghosts terrifying the hapless family as they try to figure out how to appease the angry spirits (the wife ghost was killed along with her lover by her cruel husband who then killed himself after the double murder). Don't bother with this one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Dumbest movie ever !0)) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member "There's a face in soup!"-Amy Fletcher (Amy Barrett) I must say, I had a hearty laugh at the soup bowl scene. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Great story, so-so execution. It had what it needed to be better, but comes across as only partially formed. Definitely doesn't feel like it reached its potential. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm sure this movie inspired people what with it's Japanese haunted house and photo camera that can see ghosts... But it's just so dull! The acting isn't even atrociously over the top, it's just one-note boring. C'mon 1982, 80s it up! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Boring!!!!! The concept was good but yuck!!! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
