Audience Member One of the dumbest choice to watch this one. Hated this movie than anything. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Above-average traditional Indian film. If you're not a fan of that, this won't convert you. I'm not a huge fan, but the charm of the stars and the comedy of the situation won me over. It's hard to review this without going too much into the "Bollywood" style. Let's just say I wish mainstream India would get over this "plot - song - plot - song - intermission - plot - song" thing. But the plot itself of the film is entertaining. It wanders a little, and it takes waaaay too long to introduce the hero of the piece. It actually introduces the villain first and spends a LOT of time hanging out with him, making him sympathetic, etc. So by the time the hero shows up, I actually kind of hate him and want the villain to win. But that's forgivable. Just not great. I haven't seen enough of these male actors to say whether this was up to their snuff, but I've seen enough Ash Rai. She's great as usual, but phoning it in. This damsel in distress schtick is frankly beneath her. Need I say she's heart-stoppingly gorgeous as usual? Probably not... A note about the DVD that I rented from Netflix: the translation is ass. Misspelled words all over the place, engrish up and down, and some sections completely devoid of translation whatsoever. Maybe it's not that important, but I still like to know what the characters are saying. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Unfortunately I cannot rate this movie below 0.5. Complete disappointment! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
