For Jip, Lulu, Koop, Nina and Moff, the dead-end jobs they endure during the week just kill the time until Friday night. That's when they cut very loose and get on the crazy roller coaster ride that takes them right through to Monday morning. An adrenaline-pumped comedy, "Human Traffic" chronicles the ups and downs -- both chemical and emotional -- of five friends whose weekends are filled with endless clubbing, pubbing and partying where there are no rules, no limits and no saying "no."

Alexander E This film was released when I was about exactly the same age as the actors were meant to be in the film. I too went through the exact same types of weekends with my group of friends back then. It gobsmacks me how so much of this film is absolutely spot on being one of this generation that went through clubbing and the same club drug lifestyle. In fact I felt like we were unique going through this at the time but the film just shows how widespread this lifestyle was in the uk at the time. It touches on youngsters that have landed in unfortunate family/social situations as well as those with insecurities; all of which I can relate to so I know how well the film captures it. The music also perfectly captures that exact moment in time. I realise this film resounds with me so much as I am from the exact right generation, had a similar group of friends, lived through a similar social situation and experienced ecstasy and related drugs at that time in my life. I do appreciate that there must be a high percentage of people that simply would not get the film or at least not get many parts of the film. For me, it felt like it was made to remind me of a particular time in my life. The British slang and language used were even an accurate reflection of how we spoke at the time. Bottom line is the story writer, director/producer very accurately portrayed what they intended to. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/25 Full Review Paul L Classic story of youth escaping their dull weekly lives the only way they know how - partying. Brilliant cast, brilliant writing, outstanding vignettes throughout, unbelievable soundtrack (& classic cameo roles), 25 years later it's still watchable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/11/25 Full Review G S I loved this film back in the day. It was one of those "right place, right time" things for me. The purpose of life was to go out clubbing every weekend and this film captured the essence of that perfectly. I've recently watched it again in 2024 and although I appreciate younger audiences may not get the appeal, I'd still encourage them to check it out. There isn't much character development and the cringe hits hard but it's a snapshot of a bygone era, an important era of British dance music culture. The soundtrack is solid. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Joel B Human traffic focuses on these young adults who are stuck in their 9-5 jobs and only live for the weekend. It is a story a lot of audiences can relate to. About people wanting more out of life instead of just merely existing. Knowing they want more but not exactly sure what. It definitely does have an interesting tone and unique style. However it does start to get jarring after a while. And there isn't really much character development going on. There are no big revelations and changes on there out look that could effect their lives. The film does have an interesting concept it just doesn't feel like it's told in the right way. What was entertaining at first got old pretty quickly. As a whole Human Traffic is pretty forgettable and when it could of been a lot more. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Dionysis K This movie literally describes my 90's and 00's to a tee, none of this cheese on toast woke youth of today. We had a blast and loved it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member dated. unfunny. zero story. cringeworthy. Danny Dyer stands out amongst the actors, but this really is a terrible film to watch. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
