Audience Member Not bad. Decent performances. Perhaps it was because it was made for TV but seemed a bit rushed. So rushed that you're not given much time to like or care about anybody. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member It seems rushed in the beginning and towards the end and soon leaves to be true to the novel pretty clearly. But also it shows the tormented inner life of Frollo better than any other movie about the matter I've seen. In this I am willing to forgive even the intellectual Quasimodo and Esmeralda's affection for Gringoire as well as the complete omission of Phoebus' involvement in the other characters' life. Also the cinematography is beautiful besides of course the restrictions given due to the age and budget. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Poor quality even for television standards. It didn't seem to capture the essence of Hugo's novel. I was expecting more from this.
