I don't feel at home in this world anymore. transcends its unwieldy title to offer timely, intoxicatingly dark observations on gender dynamics and social norms in modern America.

Alec C What would it take for people to not be assholes?! A young nurse learns that her house has been broken into and utilizes the help of an eccentric neighbor to find the these, getting entangled in their upcoming heist in the process. A darkly comic thriller that manages to be charming amidst the craziness that ensues, making this a film that shouldn't be overlooked! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review Mike F I felt it was a bit slow at first, but none the less interesting. It gradually progressed to a crescendo of righteousness and vindication. I loved it and want more! The screen play and acting were so original and professional there are not adequate superlatives in my vocabulary. I felt happy for days after viewing and I hope my review draws others to this wonderful film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review elana k I honestly don't care for the broader critique of what this film is trying to tell us about modern day America and so on. Its just a really great and entertaining film; a dark and unpredictable farce that made me shudder and laugh out loud. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Ian W Funny, gruesome, nicely paced. A little bit silly towards the end, but nevertheless just about stayed on board and enjoyed the film for what it was. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/24 Full Review KL S Terrific, smart, thought provoking movie. Perfectly cast. Acting was superb. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review Chris K This really just is the bumbling adventure of someone who has just taken it from the world one too many times. I loved following the comical antics and sometimes predictable plot. It's funny. It's entertaining and it keeps you on the hook. Josh Kupecki Austin Chronicle It's a film that so confidently walks the shuriken edge of laugh-out-loud funny and cringe-inducing violence. Jan 4, 2018 Full Review Oleg Ivanov Slant Magazine I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore trades in the kind of us-versus-them mentality that characterizes our current political discourse. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 5, 2017 Full Review Nick Schager The Daily Beast Lynskey delivers a charming, captivating turn that roots the proceedings in everyday feelings of powerlessness, hopelessness, frustration and fury. Mar 2, 2017 Full Review Piers Marchant Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Consistently funny, the film actually works best when it plays more or less straight. Rated: 6.3/10 Aug 21, 2020 Full Review Fiona Underhill JumpCut Online This film is not for the squeamish - it does get increasingly gory and violent towards the end. It is also a funny and easy watch for a Friday night. Rated: 8/10 Jul 12, 2020 Full Review Dan Scully Cinema76 But even as the film dips to some truly unsettling depths, there is an undercurrent of humor that keeps the film fresh, lively, and relatable, due heavily to an empathetic performance from Lynskey.
