While I was intrigued by the twister theme, having recently watched "Twister" and "Supercell," I found this adaptation lacking in comparison. The movie seemed to struggle with a disjointed plot, erratic storytelling, and a lack of clarity on character motivations and the overall narrative. Unlike the well-executed and entertaining twister films that came before it, "Ice Twisters" failed to capture the same level of excitement and engagement. The focus on freezing elements and cold temperatures added an interesting twist but ultimately did not translate into a compelling or coherent story. The film's attempt at balancing between comedy and seriousness left viewers questioning its intended tone and direction. Overall, "Ice Twisters" missed the mark by delivering a convoluted and confusing storyline that failed to engage viewers effectively. The over-the-top and bizarre concept, combined with plot inconsistencies and character motivations, detracted from the film's potential impact and left audiences wondering whether it was meant to be taken seriously or as a comical interpretation of the disaster genre. I liked the concept - government experiment to create rain for drought stricken areas of the world goes awry and creates enormous ice storms instead. Nothing original, lots of anti-government rhetoric, crappy CGI. Reminded me of the sci-fi movies of the 60's giving me a nostalgic feeling. Cliche'd characters, generic plot points, and lousy computer animation. It tries to be suspenseful, but it instead feels tedious and slow. See more 02/09/2016 Ice Twisters is next after Ice Quake and it's another weirdo film. No monster again, fairly low body count. It's quite better than Ice Quake. Still quite boring and still quite pointless. Me and I'm sure a whole bunch of other people have no clue or don't understand why SyFy feels the need to take every single thing and put it together and make 10 different versions of a concept that nobody cared about in the first and never will be. If there's never ever a film with this concept ever again, then don't be surprised. The pacing was a little bit better with this one. Multiple character plots and angles that join tougher as usual. Good acting. And your usual cast of SyFy regulars. This director is God awful at making movies, he made some really dumbass one about the suicide forest in Japan and while the bee one just came out, I don't think anyone even knows that his existed first or cared. The beautiful half Asian girl in this film is in his other film and is in a much more happier and chill role. See more Read all reviews
