When honest New York City cabbie John Cassidy (Frank Marlowe) refuses to sell his business to a corrupt competitor (Douglas Fowley), his goons send Cassidy to the hospital. At the urging of the persistent Father Donovan (Charles D. Brown), Slip Mahoney (Leo Gorcey) and the rest of the Bowery Boys (Bowery Boys) take over Cassidy's cab service, in the process sparking an all-out taxi war.
