Wonderful performances by Chris Parnell, Cara Buono, Dennis Haysbert. Illeana Douglas, Willow Shields, Eve Austin, Steven Lichtenstein, Tim Reabulto and the rest of the ensemble. Ultimately, this film delivers hope, growth, and triumph over adversity. My favorite length in a film at 1 hour and 28 minutes.- It has a big story to tell that is both intimate and recognizable as true. Highly recommended. E. The acting across the board is top notch. Chris Parnell is touching and inspiring in something we don’t usually see him do. Cara Buono gives a gorgeous, moving performance. Willow Shields knocks it out of the park as rebellious, outspoken (yet extremely lost and lonely) daughter Greta. Ileana Douglas provides comic relief as the somewhat aggressive and desperate (yet also extremely lost and lonely) next door neighbor. Dennis Haysbert is cool and collected as a famous rock ‘n’ roll singer who lives in the building. And rounding out the ensemble is the fun and sassy Eve Austin as the zany Kiki. This film is about love, life and loss. It’s also just a perfect little slice of the human existence and how we are all looking for connection. Congratulations to Rob Margolies on another fabulous film. The script and his directing style work hand-in-hand brilliantly, which resulted in one of the most charming films of the year.
