This film was really relatable to almost everyone See more 09/20/2015 Freshman director Mel Rodriguez takes an alternative view on the relationship genre, pushing the boundaries and exploring the not-so-sweet version of our personalities. The editing and soundtrack expertly drive the film forward, pumping up a mood of hip coolness in the most deft manner. The actor's performances are flawless throughout. I can't help but think of Rodriguez as an actor's director, stepping back just enough to let the actors shine and pulling out great performances.
