alex a Problem with movie about americans getting lost to a foreign country, the script should find an impossible way to excuse no reporters,no huge headlines,no diplomatic incident,no nothing just the heroine trying to do everything on her own.it's just silly.she could beat up the whole country and i would believe it,but the other things .. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review Thomas K This is one of those movies; five seconds after finished watching it, I already had forgotten, I had watched the movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/01/23 Full Review Kyle J Held together thru most of the film. A lot of action with a plausible female hero. The story was pretty good. A scene toward the end did not ring true for me. C+ Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review victor o Gina Carano is quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses. Strong and capable as an action star given her MMA experience but with a wonderful personality that shines through the characters that she portrays. This movie is no exception. Gina plays Ava Grant, a newlywed that has spent most of the years of her life having lived a hard and terrible life living under the domineering hand of her criminal father. But those years are behind her after having fallen in love and married to her husband Derek, a man with some darkness as both met in rehab but have triumphed together clean and sober. However, things go sour when their Caribbean honeymoon becomes hijacked by men who kidnap her husband. In the type of survivor of the darkness who brings darkness upon the wicked tale, Ava goes to incredible lengths to get her husband back. This was an awesome movie as Gina Carano does a great job acting as well in action. Stephen Lang has a small but powerful role in a special appearance that is the heart of Gina's character. I like that this makes Gina strong but doesn't emasculate the husband played wonderfully by Cam Gigandet. Plenty of other surprises like Luis Guzman and Danny Trejo. I even like the fact that the title is not just some cliched action movie title but teases the actual reason for the kidnapping. This was a good movie, slightly contrived at times but good. Mike McCahill Guardian Fine actors (Alison Steadman, Phil Davis) nudge our boy forward, yet the rehabilitation and race-against-time narratives prove fundamentally at odds: we're left watching two films cancelling each other out.
