Empire Magazine Rated: 4/5 Dec 30, 2006 Full Review Jeff Shannon Seattle Times The vision of Intimate Stories is amusingly warm-hearted without being cloying or sentimental; the landscape may be harsh, but the performances are inviting. Rated: 3/4 Jul 29, 2005 Full Review Wesley Morris Boston Globe Like the performances, the movie is a small-scale feat of naturalism. Rated: 3/4 Jun 10, 2005 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Combustible Celluloid Bathed in chilly winter air with a fragrance of hot coffee, the film moves at an unhurried pace, taking in the sights and sounds of the various pit stops, and essentially enjoying itself. Aug 23, 2007 Full Review Jeff Vice Deseret News (Salt Lake City) It's the surprising but effective payoff to Don Justo's journey that has the most emotional pull, which is due in no small part to newcomer Benedicti's performance. Audience Member 7.2/10, my review: http://wp.me/p1eXom-2oG Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Slow, boring, & not very humorous...the Patagonian Argentina setting is authentic but there is little to the storyline & no climax. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Comforting and well-written, with good characters. Not much depth, but it's nice to have something light once in a while. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice stories. You learn to love these characters. Enjoy it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A low-key bittersweet comedy-drama set in rural Argentina. The main characters are 3 simple people who are traveling to a city each for their own reason. Not much happens, but everything in this movie has a truly genuine feel to it. What doesn't seem important to the viewer is a big deal to the main characters, as as in real life, little things make a difference. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member For those who like every day stories that connect people to one another, this is a simple, yet very heartwarming film. Gorgeous shots of Patagonia, Argentina, with its almost infinite roads, desert plains, villages in the middle of nowhere. Recommended for dog lovers.
