s r It certainly had an agenda to push, but what a cast! I would love it just for the Szabo Hungarian story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Episodic by nature and all the vignettes have their charm but the first three are really the best. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this movie on TCM yesterday… A sentimental journey through Americana. Portraying a variety of “Slice of Life” vignettes. Each one teaching a moral lesson…. The one I found most interesting was about the new preacher who was a little too political for his own good…. His new congregation just happens to be where the President of the United States goes to church. Long story short… He’s convinced that he should stop being so political and just do what Jesus said. Hard to argue with that…. But what is so interesting is that they were preaching the right message for the wrong reason. They didn’t want the church to be the church…. They just wanted them to stay out of politics That is the moral of the story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member interesting idea telling as much for what it includes as what it excludes Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
