Audience Member Funny, silly, charming movie that reminded me of But I'm a Cheerleader in tone -- all of the gay characters were lovely and multi-dimensional, while the straight characters were caricatures. Because of this, it wasn't believable, but that's what made it fun. I always enjoy seeing over-the-top society ladies being knocked down a peg or two. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member dun estimate 'em small town womenfolk! very dated though there were still some lil laughs to be had. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member
Spencer: I guess I first realized I was gay when I put together some fabulous throw pillows that matched the curtains in the breakfast nook of my tree house.
Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm totally in love with this movie. Sure, at first it's hard to get over its cheap soft porn/soap opera-kind of look and the acting makes you cringe at first. But then I fell for it. It's sappy and over-the-top and cheap and it's fun and heartwarming and sexy. It's not trying to take itself seriously and that's how it actually does manage to get out a serious message while being lightheartedly entertaining. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Well it was awful! But I actually loved the story between the two women and found that uber-hot Keri Jo Chapman's acting was actually pretty good compared to the dire attempts of pretty much everybody else in it! Although it's wonderful when a heart wrenching, fantastically acted classic such as Aimee and Jaguar comes along, I think that most of us would admit that what we want from our gay films is a good helping of angst, soul-searching and longing gazes before THE MOMENT OF REALISATION where Hot Lady (or Fella) One softly smooches Hot Lady (or Fella) Two, inevitably after an argument about why they 'can't do this'. After this there should be a generous splash of passionate kissing and rolling in bed scenes, topped off with the inevitable run-off-into-the-sunset, gay-power ending. IITW gives exactly that. Two amusing things of note about this film. Alex's homophobic mum's facial expressions are something else and borderline offensive... and big LOLLING at the outfit they put Alex in once she was an out and proud dyke. High waisted beige pants, lilac shirts and 90s-esque ties will definitely be the theme for a future party at my house! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty good story line, even watching it a second time didn't bore me, it was kind of exciting to watch.
