Critics Consensus

Despite having a cast and crew of comedy all-stars on hand, Jackpot! provides little payout thanks to a puerile script and erratic pacing.

Feig's primary influences seem to be "Idiocracy," "The Purge," and Looney Tunes--and he is undoubtedly correct in assuming that this unholy mix will hit some people’s sweet spot. Go to Full Review

An action-comedy that lacks intoxicating fight scenes and genuine punchlines, this feature is less than the sum of its parts even as it turns Los Angeles’ make-or-break culture into a dystopian murder game. Go to Full Review

It may not be Paul Feige's best film, but it manages to entertain us thanks to the charismatic and chemistry-driven duo of Awkwafina and John Cena. And to a greater or lesser extent, the frenetic pace and the string of jokes work. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Jackpot! never gives its central concept the full exploration it should, only a surface-level one as fodder for one unfunny bump to the head after the other and action sequences that grow less playful and more mean-spirited. Go to Full Review

adam p @Spawning10001 Dec 30 I thought the movie was hilarious. I honestly don’t I stand why people put to much thought into what a movie should be. This was just a fun action comedy in my opinion. See more Norman B @KunNeki Nov 26 The movie isn't bad, but I guess a lot of people are taking it serious, which is a no-no for comedy See more Ryan M @RyRyMadrid Nov 25 I feel sorry for all the crew who had to work on this movie. I know they got paid, but this was the outcome… yikes See more Michael P @MikeP29 Nov 17 From a technical stand point, this is played more as a B-movie with a lot of over the top action and normal people doing things that they just wouldn't do. The editing was a little choppy, at times covering some action that was a little much. The acting was pretty damn good from the main 3 but the rest felt like they were in a different movie to the rest. There was some iffy CGI and some of the dialogue was cringy but most of it was pretty good and a good portion of the jokes did at least get a smile but no real belly laugh moments. I will say, this movie doesn't take that long to get into it but the end had a fast and the furious moment where 2 minutes took about 5 minutes of screen time Considering I just watched the Running Man (2025) for the first time, it's hard not to see the similarities but they story itself was pretty good. The beginning was a little unnecessary and I already gave my thoughts on the ending. I wish the main bad guy was not so obvious. There was some also very poor decision making to serve the story. More we need to get the character to a certain point so let's just make stuff up instead of saying the character makes a certain decision and therefore she ends up in this place. My experience was good but it's a throw away movie I had some fun in but not enough to make me consider coming back and not enough for me to recommend. There are better options out there See more Diana M Oct 6 This was really fun and funny! A great action movie with a great cast! See more Berenisse S Sep 7 So funny!
