In the near future, a 'Grand Lottery' has been newly established in California -- the catch: kill the winner before sundown to legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot. When Katie Kim (Awkwafina) moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket. Desperate to survive the hordes of jackpot hunters, she reluctantly joins forces with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy (John Cena) who will do everything in his power to get her to sundown in exchange for a piece of her prize. However, Noel must face off with his slick rival Louis Lewis (Simu Liu), who also seeks to collect Katie's commission at all costs.

Feig's primary influences seem to be "Idiocracy," "The Purge," and Looney Tunes--and he is undoubtedly correct in assuming that this unholy mix will hit some people’s sweet spot.

It may not be Paul Feige's best film, but it manages to entertain us thanks to the charismatic and chemistry-driven duo of Awkwafina and John Cena. And to a greater or lesser extent, the frenetic pace and the string of jokes work. [Full Review in Spanish]

Just an old familiar take on something done yesterday. Was it enjoyable to see? Of course and if your a fan girl/boy of the wrestling scene & a John Cena admirer, I reckon you'll like it just for that.

A movie with a strange yet, given our current social climate, not-so-unbelievable concept. It's basically "The Purge"… only funnier. John Cena, despite a strange Ninja Turtles obsession, does a respectable job in the role he serves as the protector to the film's Grand Jackpot winner, played by YouTube standout, actress, and musician Awkwafina. Given their backgrounds in wrestling and online videos, respectively, Cena and Awkwafina have great on-screen chemistry. It's not a great film, but it's not trying to be. It's a buddy comedy filled with goofy one-liners, silly action sequences, and even some unexpected cameos along the way. If you just want something to watch without having to think too much, this movie is your "Citizen Kane".

I thought the movie was hilarious. I honestly don’t I stand why people put to much thought into what a movie should be. This was just a fun action comedy in my opinion.
