Think of it as Sunset Bloodsport with Jean-Claude as Norma Desmond. Go to Full Review

It's fun as far as it goes, and for the most part quite well made, but in the end it's really not about very much at all. Go to Full Review

Ethan P Nov 26 Best JCVD film ever. Best he's ever made and the best he ever will See more Faiz D May 13 JCVD gives his finest performance. See more 12/08/2022 A very interesting if not perfectly realized film, "JCVD" delightfully basks in the sunlight of its meta premise like there's no tomorrow. The photography didn't click with me and now and then it felt like the movie was trying to eulogize JCVD, but I enjoyed the humour, the self-referential aspects and the way the story was presented. Yet stealing the show is JCVD himself, who has doubtlessly grown a lot as an actor since his action hero heyday and hereby delivers a career-defining performance. See more r 9 08/05/2022 Pretty good! I wouldn't class 'JCVD' as anything above that, though it is a film worth watching. I really like the way the story is portrayed, while it's interesting to have JCVD play JCVD. It's not as entertaining as it perhaps could've been, though it merits props for how it's put together and how it comes out - which is positively See more 01/23/2022 Inconsistencies (especially in story & tone) abound. Cinematography is clumsy, claustrophobic, & ugly. However, contains Van Damme’s arguably best performance, capped off by a powerful monologue recorded in a six minute unbroken take. #nitrosMovieChallenge See more nefasto r @Nefasto 10/07/2021 Strong beginning and strong ending, but drugs a bit in the middle. Still, definitely the best movie JCVD ever made and ever will. See more Read all reviews
