Audience Member A Perfect Action Comedy Movie It's A Revolution For Telugu Industry 💖💖💖 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Superb movie nice story something special and a revaluation for telugu movies Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Just a mix of copy from different Hollywood movies.... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Finally Allu Arjun got a hit. Thanks to Trivikram Srinivas and his story, dialogues, screeanplay and execution, JULAYI is one of the best heist films, as well as one of the best Telugu-action films. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Ravi (Allu Arjun) is an intelligent youngster who doesn't believe in the concept of working hard for long term profits. He wants quick bucks because he is extremely brainy and takes any risk to achieve it. Bittu (Sonu Sood) is a gangster who robs 1500 crores from a bank. The paths of Ravi and Bittu intersect during a night. The rest of the story is all about the duel between these two guys and how Ravi realises the importance of working hard and long-term growth. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Julayi Blending comedy with action is a tough task especially in commercial cinema as you cannot veer close to either of the wedges diluting the overall effect. Trivikram Srinivas, barring his first directorial venture, has always been treading along this tight rope with enough balancing act on comedic side compared to high voltage action sway. Plot: Bittu (Sonu Sood) plans a bank robbery along with local MLA Varadarajulu (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Their plan goes awry given Ravindra Narayan's (Allu Arjun) brainy intervention thus setting the stage for pumping adrenaline (more through ego). Rest of the story is all about hero squaring up with anti-hero and completely shoveling him down towards the end. Analysis: Only one good thing about the movie is it's non-sluggish run. Excepting that everything else fits in to regular commercial format - hero being super brainy, villain being sluggish most of the times, big bang action episodes with shoddy graphics, heroine with no absolute role to play and songs acting as speed breakers to a running storyline (well there is not one really). The director did his best with his comical punch lines and sensible dialogues but they lack zing partially because of people mouthing them. Trivikram is always known for being "intelligently adaptive and inspirational" but with this film he's down right mediocre (no offense to his immense talent pool). Most of the scenes are a direct re-run from The Dark Knight - infact you cannot skip "Joker" dà (C)·jà vu as you follow the anti-hero. Action episodes come and go irrespective of the need for them. Lack of time to focus on execution is clearly visible in an effect to deliver a commercial pot-boiler. Mentionable dialogues: Please follow the below post for Trivikram's dialogues - "riveting just on paper" https://www.facebook.com/423919770992647/posts/424871820897442 Performances: Allu Arjun is energetic as usual and tries his best to be funny the Trivikram way. His dances were superb as usual and he rolls in to the character with a sluggish pace. Illeana is totally wasted in a role that has no subpar importance to the plot. Rajendra Prasad probably has around 10 inches thick make up paste applied to his face and it becomes unbearable after a point. Added to that he has nothing to perform given his comedic prowess. Sonu Sood as the anti-hero was good compared to all the characters but is totally washed down at the end when he turns in to a mere comic (infact a joker). All other actors including comedians do their part. Thumbs up: 1. Bank robbery scene 2. Scenes involving hero and heroine - romance episodes heavily glazed with high entertainment quotient 3. Bramhanandam's character and 4. Witty plus sensible dialogues. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
