Audience Member A disaster of a made-for-TV movie that is actually a pilot episode for a superhero show that was never picked up, the cheesy production values and outdated effects are perhaps to be expected from the nonexistent budget but the bad acting, worse script, even worse characters (seriously, they're such idiots), ridiculous story (yeah, I know, shocking, this movie actually has a narrative) and even a bizarre framing device make this entry in the superhero genre only worth watching for the "so bad, it's good" aspect. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Terrible costumes, lazy writing, and poor characters made this pilot easy to pass, I'm sure. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member People like to hate on the likes of Zack Synder but Zack Synder could never make a movie on the level Of awfulness that this tv pilot is on. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh God why, Justice League of America is a failed TV show pilot turned TV movie. If you want to avoid rage inducing deviation from original sources and bad costumes then please don't watch this for the love of God. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Not surprisingly, this pilot failed to lead to a series. Bottom of the barrel stuff that presents JLA as a group of singletons sharing a house together and basically saving cats and looking for work in their spare time, until a terrorist dubbed The Weatherman threatens to destroy the city unless he is paid a ransom of only 20 million dollars. I'm sure even in 1997 that wasn't much money in exchange for a city. Meant as a light comedy, the film includes mock interviews that are sometimes slightly amusing, but don't make up for the sheer overall goofiness of the writing. Worst of all, the costumes will leave viewers dumbstruck. The men of the picture are overweight and lack muscle tone, but they are asked to get into coloured leotards and masks that guve their heads a Neanthertal look. The Flash costume is probably the worst offender, with too many shots showing the actor's flaccid butt and Green Lantern's costume is for some reason turquoise. Good thing not many will get to see this stinker. Now, I want a T-shirt for having survived this ordeal. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The Show Is Great.. But it isn't worth buying just a handfull of episodes. Save your money and buy the entire series. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
