Audience Member 70s coppers bullying little children. Hard to believe Britain was like this such a relatively short time ago! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Of all Nick Broomfield's controversial subject matters, I found this at times the most uncomfortable to watch. To a certain extent you know what to expect from some of the other subject matters, but I can't help feeling the two Police Liaison Officers, were just a little power crazy and full of their own importance. Whilst it shows a big gap between the way things are handled much differently in today's times and opens up huge debate as to which is deemed to be better, I would be interested to find out how all the children in the film had got on in later years. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member This film shouldn't have been banned. If anything, it should be used to portray a society which is not only dead and buried but also how we shouldn't live our lives. It's cruel, racist and spiteful. The kids are being mistreated on camera, with video proof and nothing ever came of it. One child was adamant he hadn't done what he was being accused of, while he wicked stepmother looked on with a grin. Yet the kid still got a rollicking. It also has no purpose. The 'copper' (if you can call what he does a service) threatens these children with court, jail and a belting, yet he keeps doing just that, threatens them. There is no following through, and it makes me feel like he is a weak man with a power trip. The head teacher is disgusting and needed to be fired on the spot, for her racist, ignorant behaviour. She is a disgrace to the human race. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
