Ty Burr Boston Globe A fumbled attempt at modern romantic comedy. Rated: 1/4 Mar 9, 2007 Full Review Desson Thomson Washington Post Myers's script follows the official structural steps of romantic comedy -- we won't belabor you with the details -- but doesn't always heed the most obvious one: Be original. Mar 1, 2007 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter The film isn't believable for a second. Nov 8, 2006 Full Review Karina Longworth Cinematical It has its charms, and to those generally susceptible to well-done examples of genre, it'll probably be a delight. Feb 1, 2008 Full Review Willie Waffle WaffleMovies.com Claudia Myers fills the movie with the rhythms, jokes and turning points of a sit-com or romantic comedy, making Kettle of Fish a delightful, funny, comfortable diversion Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 1, 2007 Full Review Maitland McDonagh TV Guide If only there were some spark between Modine and Gershon (who's hampered by an annoying and unnecessary English accent). Audience Member highly uneven, but very enjoyable in sections... maybe 3 innings altogether Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This was an adorable fluff movie. I would only recommend this for fans of silly romantic comedies. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Wasn't much to it. It was kinda funny. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice movie that represents the fear of people to be alone and that in many times a person misunderstood his/her feelings. The best reward is then realize what we really feel. I liked the movie anyway as it shows how totally different persons/species can be in love. Love is more than anything else that exists in our World. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Wasn't much to it. It was kinda funny. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical romantic comedy plot where guy meets girl, doesn't like her, becomes friends with her and . . . well, if you know the rest. Anyway, while this movie isn't the greatest romantic comedy I've seen in ages, it's probably one of the more realistic in that neither character is worth millions (they actually go to work and have jobs . . . gasp!) and they come across feeling closer to actual people. Still, it's predictable and, while watchable, it's not overly entertaining. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
