Audience Member I've been watching old Western films for two weeks now and - like the little girl with the little curl right in the middle of her forehead - when these Westerns are Good, they are very, very Good, but when they are bad, they are horrid. KIT CARSON is very, very Good. Five Stars worth for entertainment value, great spirited performances, sincere storytelling, and excellent casting. These heroes are deferential, humble, and right-headed. It's wonderful to see KIT win the day on pure competence and keen judgment of each tricky situation and never say, "I told you so" when he's proved right. The Love Triangle at the center of the story could have been oh so corny - but it wasn't at all. It's not like any other you've ever seen because both men are so honorable they want what's best for the lady. It is non-stop action and the finale is oh so satisfying you'll have tears and cheers to finish out the hour and thirty-seven minutes of pure adrenaline. Enjoy! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Vigorous western with touches of humor. Dana Andrews gives the best performance with Ward Bond getting the lion's share of comic relief. Jon Hall is good in the lead, he's a bit too good looking to be completely convincing as the rugged wildcat scout that the real Carson was but still he cuts a fine figure. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I caught this movie early in the morning when I first got up. It caught my attention immediately because of the cast. I recognized every one right away.(I may be telling my age)I love the older movies because the actors really had to act. There were no spectacular special effects. I watched the credits roll by and one name caught my eye. Clayton Moore. I had never see him without his mask. Now I have to find that darn movie so I can get a look at Paul Terry which is the part he played. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
