Audience Member Mark Twain's time-travel fantasy A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court has been adapted for the screen twice. But this made-for-TV version, starring Oscar winner-turned-Hollywood Square Whoopi Goldberg may just be the most irritating of them all. This is a case where it doesn't pay to go with the big brand names "Disney" and "Whoopi." I did enjoy the feasting scenes, but that is mainly due to the acrobatics on display for a few seconds. That's not a good enough reason to recommend a film. Overall, TV movies generally promise very little and deliver very little - this has nothing new to offer and doesn't do anything with the recycled material that it has. VERDICT: "Not So Hot" - [Negative Reaction] These films are truly terrible films. They are not the worst things ever made, but they are definitely awful and should not be seen by anyone. (Films that are rated 1.5 or 2 stars) Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member good movie its soo cool Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member One of my favorite actors, Whoopi, in a very well done adaption of one of my favorite stories ever. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Disappointing even for Disney enthusiasts. Whoopi Goldberg comes up short in a terrible television version of a classic story that has already been done in movies, and much better. (First and only viewing - In my early twenties) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Sessão da Tarde. Grandma xD liked it very much. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed the movie although many of my friends didn't. You have to be into Whoopie to get the jokes in some ways.
