best out of the three Still an awesome movie, one of my favorite Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Ben W Great fun. Surprisingly very emotional and heart touching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Aidan B The film undeniably has pacing issues, oftentimes moving way faster than it should, though overall "Kung Fu Panda 2" is still an extremely enjoyable film with a fantastic villain, interesting characters, dazzling visuals, and a gut-wrenching story to boost it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Megan P This movie had so much potential! And it flopped. It flopped hard. Now, I'm not saying I hate this movie, but I also don't like it. Like the first and third movies, the comedic aspects are very visible, but in this movie, they overdid it. They wrote it in such a wanting-to-make-the-audience-laugh way, it overshadows the other parts of the movie, like how it sets up Po's past. Now, I did like Shang. He's my favorite villain in all of the Kung Fu Panda villain, but he does get outshined by Po, (and the writers). My overall rating of this movie of this movie is ⚡62% Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Sean D A step down from the first movie. This movie tries to be more serious which leads to more a boring film and you won't be as entertained. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Medo S I mean it's alright . Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Kung Fu Panda 2 gets a little darker and slushier than the first, but never loses sight of its objective: fun, fun, fun. The animation is outstanding, and the story has enough surprises to make it new. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 2, 2019 Full Review Deborah Ross The Spectator Where, in short, is this film's personality, or even the characters' personalities, for that matter? Aug 31, 2018 Full Review Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post [A] satisfying, if less than sensational, sequel to the funny, charming and action-packed animated feature from 2008. Rated: 2/4 Nov 22, 2013 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Me gusta el cine This time, we have a film that deals with some new themes: “your origins do not define your present or future”, “let go of the past”, or “obsession with revenge brings nothing new with it”. Valuable lessons for the kids, of course. Full review in Spanish. Rated: 4/5 Mar 16, 2024 Full Review Jana Monji Age of the Geek This sequel doesn't disappoint and explains how Po became the son of a noodle-making gander while Po learns how to find inner peace. While I loved the anthropomorphic animals in the first film, I initially thought the wolves were hyenas. Rated: 3/5 Mar 13, 2024 Full Review Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal A cinematic recipe of the hardcore and the heartfelt that, in the hands of the iron chefs DreamWorks Animation has employed to make it, is easy for any age to eat up.
