Audience Member The happiest film about World War II Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Well-paced and entertaining, La Vie de Chateau isn't boring for a moment. The plot is relatively clever and the funny bits are actually almost amusing by French standards. The last few minutes are rather strange, and without some of the more farcical elements, this could've been a very good film. As it is, it's still well worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The comic mood of this film is classically French, and takes some getting used to for us non-Francophiles. But Catherine Deneuve, ca 1965, takes no getting used to. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
