Relatable really is the theme of the whole movie with old Trusty (Sam Elliot)...and Jim Dear and Darling having to deal with judgey relatives...Between that and the goodness that is dogs, Lady and the Tramp (2019) makes for a fun family watch.

A live-action remake of the 1955 animated film and part of the new content for the Disney+ release. The voice cast for the animals of this film is spot on and wonderfully done. The live actors I think played their parts a little over the top, especially Yvette Nicole Brown who plays Aunt Sarah. I understand why they had to change the “Siamese Cat Song”, but its replacement, “What a Shame”, isn’t the ear worm the original was. Janelle Monae nails Peg and I really enjoyed her version of “He’s a Tramp”, but the animation for Peg felt off or did they use a puppet? I also missed seeing the film from the perspective of the dogs, but I guess they had to show the actors faces. Not much of an improvement from the original film, so if you enjoy the original or like dogs, this might be worth a watch.

I'm not quite sure why it hasn't received more love, as it's a charming film with a mix of real dogs and impressive CGI work that brings the furry protagonists to life. The cast is stellar, and the chemistry between Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux, who voice Lady and Tramp, is palpable. Their performances add depth and authenticity to the characters. The iconic spaghetti dinner scene is beautifully reimagined in live action, capturing the same magic as the original animated version. The soundtracks are a nostalgic treat, invoking the classic Disney vibes we all know and love. This movie stands out as one of Disney's better live-action adaptations, and it's a testament to the studio's ability to modernize timeless stories. While it may not be a perfect five-star film, 'Lady and the Tramp' is a solid 3.5-star flick. It entertained me, and I appreciated the efforts put into this live-action gem.

The movie is bad, they changed the cats! they made jock a GIRL name JACKLYN! I Really don't care about the skin color of the actors, BUT I just don't like how DINSEY ALWAYS have to change things in reboots. Side eye I stopped watching it in the middle of the singing cats. It got to annoying that they changed them and the cat BREED.
