Audience Member Columbia wants to showcase Rita at the cost of everything else: the plot, the production, the other actors. That's why people will praise Rita but detest the movies she's in. The movies are typically atrocious, to be kind. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather odd combination of courtroom drama and romantic comedy, set in pre-war France. Some nice dialogue, but it is mainly notable as an early Rita Hayworth vehicle, pairing her with two collaborators with whom she would do better work in future - director Charles Vidor, and co-star Glenn Ford. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member its a simple light comedy, a good one to light up ur day :) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member good stuff but no gilda Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Forgetable film, not really bad, but probably not worth seeing unless you like Rita Hayworth. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member another great pairing of Rita and Glenn Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

George Orwell Time and Tide In level of intelligence this film is above the average, but it is questionable whether it was worth translating into American. If it was, then it would have been better to Americanize it altogether and not give it a French setting.
