Harrison R Entertaining, interesting, small. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Kevin M Total waste of almost two hours and they never provide a resolution to the disappearance of the Irish guy and his dog. Most of the residents seem to be alcoholics and the police are mostly portrayed as incompetent. A lot of repetitive shots of uninteresting landscape used as filler. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review Rhianna J Gritty & honest, but I wouldn't expect anything less from the Duplass brothers. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/23 Full Review Brad G It was very entertaining. Every episode took you in another direction. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/04/23 Full Review genkisensei Amazing doco. Aussie outback town true crime. If ever there was an advert of to never live in small Aussie town. I am an Aussie and see people like this about the place. Riveting stuff. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/26/23 Full Review IFCJ- S In enjoyed watching people from abroad telling their story about Paddy and who they thought did it. It did leave the watcher wondering, however after hearing the recording of the guy practically admitting what he had done killing the pups and what was it he said. " I killerated him" That was an admission if ever there was one. When he stated that wasn't his voice it seems odd that experts in voice recognition weren't called in to this investigation. I normally don't watch murder mysteries but this was down to earth a great 2hour documentary. I felt sorry for all of the people there in that small town. I've always wanted to visit Australia. These small towns all look alike in the outback. I'd give this 2 hour documentary 8-1/2 out of 10 for a good story. Truly a story about 10 or 11 citizens who live life with too much time, hatred and alcohol. This is one hell of a gossip story. Chris Vognar Rolling Stone Last Stop Larrimah is ultimately a pitch-black comedy -- a digressive slice of cultural anthropology that chuckles into the abyss. Oct 9, 2023 Full Review Ryan Lattanzio indieWire Tancred’s aesthetic approach to the material feels a bit too cheeky at times, as if he’s both bewildered by and a bit making fun of these people, especially in the music choices. Rated: C+ Oct 9, 2023 Full Review Nick Schager The Daily Beast "Last Stop Larrimah" is a tale about provincial dynamics and the hostilities they often breed, as well as about the unique types of men and women who willingly choose to spend their days and nights on the outer edges of civilization. Oct 8, 2023 Full Review Graeme Tuckett Stuff.co.nz Last Stop Larrimah is like an Aussie Lord Of The Flies, being played out by a cast of adult alcoholics - with more flies. Nov 6, 2023 Full Review Glenn Dunks The Film Experience Tancred wisely keys us into the rhythms of Larrimah, showing the relative boom times of an Australian outback town that was once a regular stop on the trek of many Australian or backpacking tourists. Nov 6, 2023 Full Review Rohan Naahar The Indian Express It’s a fascinating document about life on the fringes of society; a movie that examines themes as old as storytelling itself — jealousy, anger, betrayal.
