Matt Brunson Film Frenzy An amiable if ultimately forgettable comedy. Rated: 2.5/4 May 12, 2020 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Alastair Sim pretty much steals the picture as a writer of crime fiction who literally cannot get himself arrested. Rated: 2.5/4 May 9, 2020 Full Review David Bax Battleship Pretension Unfortunately, for a movie that should be chock full of such shenanigans, Laughter in Paradise pointedly avoids farce, instead taking its characters' journeys a little too seriously and producing a disappointingly tame result. May 1, 2020 Full Review MFB Critics Monthly Film Bulletin As a whole, although the script contains some genuinely amusing ideas, neither script writers nor director have achieved the pace, invention and style of high comedy. Feb 5, 2018 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews It should have been a riot, but the zany Brit comedy is fumbled by the heavy-handed direction. Paul G I chuckled through this which is all you can ask for from a comedy. Alistair Sim is a great actor but the whole cast does a good job to keep this ticking along nicely. Worth a watch.
