Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Charming, goofy, and sometimes poignant, The Witches is a delightful confection featuring the underrated Silvana Mangano. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 26, 2020 Full Review Arthur Ross Los Angeles Free Press With few exceptions, all omnibus films, with as many directors as there are stories, have neither style nor substance and are unmemorable. Jan 9, 2020 Full Review Paul Mount Starburst The Witches (or Le Streghe) is a terrible, pointless film even making allowances for the crazy, random excesses of the psychedelic 1960s and truly appalling dubbing on the English language version. Audience Member I loved Franco Rossi's story. Pasolini's episode is funny, with a very funny actor (Totò), De Sica's story is cute, the other ones are so-and-so. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked this compilation a lot. I really loved Pasolini's short. That was hilarious! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Pasolini's segment is funny for a few minutes but all in all this is just tedious and best forgotten. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The synopsis is right about Visconti's segment standing out but there is merit in the rest of the movie.
