Audience Member This is a good snapshot into the current state of fusion power research which provides an overview, some history, and takes a peek at 4 different ongoing projects. It would be great to have covered more of the two-dozen serious projects around the world, but there's only so much time in a film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this film. In my opinion harnessing fusion energy is the most important scientific endeavor mankind will ever take on Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/08/18 Full Review Audience Member Between a 7/10 and 8/10, a futuristic energy source that could indefinitely supply the world's power requirements provides the backdrop for this absorbing documentary. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A real good and interesting overview of 3 fusion research projects - ITER is a $50 billion dollar multi national machine way behind schedule and not likely to produce any economic power, General Fusion is a private company funded by one of the multi billionaires and may make real progress, but hasn't had any real fusion yet. LPP Focus Fusion is a very small company with a small and novel method of controlling plasma (fits in a garage) funded by individual investors and has produced more fusion than any other private fusion research company. The documentary makes the point that we need to fund more and different approaches than the money pit of ITER Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed the film. Very realistic and life like. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie worth the watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Barry Hertz Globe and Mail What could have been a hectoring science lesson turns out to be more thrilling than any late-90s Keanu Reeves movie. Rated: 3/4 Sep 22, 2017 Full Review Justin Lowe Hollywood Reporter A futuristic energy source that could indefinitely supply the world's power requirements provides the backdrop for this absorbing documentary. Mar 12, 2017 Full Review Norman Wilner NOW Toronto ... instead of a lecture, the film focuses on the people doing the science, mindful of the unexpected collisions that result when geniuses bounce off one another. Rated: 4/5 Oct 3, 2017 Full Review Jim Slotek Original Cin Aung-Thwin and Royko do a remarkable job juggling the reality of fusion research versus the dreams in Let There Be Light, never allowing either to overcome the other. Sep 20, 2017 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film The movie illustrates clearly that scientific subjects are not inherently hard to understand, and that the more people who make the effort to engage with such ideas, the more likely they are to materialize. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 9, 2017 Full Review Simon Foster Screen-Space [An] elegant, insightful and entertaining work of understated urgency. Rated: 4/5 Mar 31, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
