Noel Murray Los Angeles Times This revealing film is filled with pleasant balladry from a likable troubadour; but it also shows what it’s like to sing his little tunes while under unfathomable pressure. Apr 11, 2023 Full Review Chris Azzopardi New York Times Remarkably, “How I’m Feeling Now” manages to escape most of the promotional trappings of its ilk, striking a more meaningful note than other pop star docs. Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Jonathan Kanengoni London Evening Standard Capaldi has never been one to shy away from his emotions in his songs, but his openness in this raw and unflinching documentary is a step beyond that, both brave and inspiring. Rated: 5/5 Mar 31, 2023 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider A warts-and-all look at a young singer-songwriter whose success, while earned, comes complete with a raft of professional charges and weighty personal taxes of its own. Apr 13, 2023 Full Review Kat Halstead Common Sense Media There's something particularly raw and exposed about this open, heartfelt music documentary that offers viewers a peek at a truth as unfiltered as the Scottish singer-songwriter's social media. Rated: 4/5 Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Andrew Murray The Upcoming Despite falling into tired documentary tropes, How I’m Feeling Now manages to tell a reflective tale of living with fame and anxiety that isn’t just made for Capaldi’s most dedicated fans. MYGod I If your a person who is down to earth, it's a high possibility you would love this film. The level of raw emotion thrown into this documentary is unreal. Lewis presents himself to millions of people, showing them that his humor is not always present all day. There are times that people need a break and he showcased it very well. He did not keep any secrets hidden. We often see him come out and do what most of us call 'stand up comedy' and singing on stage. However, what happens behind the scenes? What happens off stage. This exemplifies the truth to those out their who only see the front cover. It does contain swearing, so I would not say that it is the most suitable for children, but it can really show them that we should not always envy the life of a celebrity. It is a pain to some when we see his condition take a toll on his mental health condition. Which may cause difficulty to certain viewers. However, in summary it is an eye opener at best. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review matthias s "Lewis Capaldi: How I Am Feeling Now" is an absolute gem for music lovers and fans of Lewis alike. The film captures the essence of his music, showcasing his powerful voice and soulful lyrics. But it goes beyond that, delving into the man behind the music. It's a celebration of his triumphs, his humor, and his ability to connect with audiences on a profound level. So grab your popcorn, prepare to laugh until your sides hurt, and maybe have a box of tissues nearby. "Lewis Capaldi: How I Am Feeling Now" is a must-watch documentary that will leave you feeling inspired, entertained, and with a newfound appreciation for one of the most relatable and down-to-earth pop stars of our time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review MM M Not very good. No excitement. No singing. Just boring. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/11/23 Full Review Karen M Raw, honest and so so generous. His music is a gift, and so is what he's doing so selflessly for others in this doco. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/08/23 Full Review Cathleen C It was a good documentary. He has a Wonderful voice and such a good heart. I pray the best for him. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/30/23 Full Review Emily V Love the vulnerability shown in this movie. Having mental health issues myself and a kid with autism & Tourette's made this a must watch for me. Brilliantly done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
