Jackie S A decent lesbian film that makes you feel good in the end. A little cheesy and cringy at times but not enough to ruin the film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review No B If I could forget this movie existed, I would. This movie is fucking insane, and at no point am I rooting for this couple to succeed. There's so much forced hetero stuff. One of the girls kisses the other girl's brother. And there's the roommate who has a crush on the other girl. Weird drug dealer subplot and despite them being totally horrible for each other, she brings flowers to her yoga practice and all is well. I wish illness upon the writers of this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Philip V This is one of the many stupid movies that hinges on people not talking and others not listening. This movie takes it to the extreme. It is cringe and has no humor. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/12/23 Full Review sue b Really bland C-grade film, with pointless subplots and an overwhelming feeling of 'so what'. The characters didn't build up enough to really care about them. Minor pet peeve, the food hygiene in the film was pretty off - people sticking fingers in food, handling it, etc. Maybe that was intended to give a sense of familiarity, but I just thought 'yuck'. I can't even remember how it ended, it was so underwhelming Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the greatest movie ever. Has become an annual thanksgiving watch for my family Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The script tries and fails to take the premise of a single joke and stretch it out over 90 minutes, resulting in virtually no conflict in the slightest. All around painful Hallmark acting too. Two stars instead of one for the grandparents, who were charming enough to make the movie somewhat more palatable. Heather Hogan Autostraddle While Lez Bomb certainly doesn't hit all the shots it takes, I think it's a really important (and entertaining) step forward. Nov 20, 2018 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Overwritten and overlit, Lez Bomb frequently undercuts its own charms. Nov 9, 2018 Full Review Sarah Marloff Austin Chronicle While rarely feeling heavy-handed, Lez Bomb manages to be both over-the-top funny and yet incredibly realistic, sans the doom and gloom of yesteryear. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 9, 2018 Full Review Marya E. Gates Cool People Have Feelings, Too. (Substack) This hilarious and heartfelt film features a stacked ensemble cast. Feb 13, 2024 Full Review Brigid Presecky FF2 Media Misunderstandings snowball into comedy gold, aided by a stellar supporting cast. Rated: 4/5 Aug 19, 2019 Full Review Stephanie Archer Film Inquiry Its modern and hilarious take on coming out, during one of the most hectic and family-oriented holidays of the year, will allow it to become an instant and endearing classic for many holidays to come.
