Heather Hogan Autostraddle You deserve to experience the absolute ecstasy of watching Tyra Banks commit to the bananapants wide-eyed wonder of this role again. Dec 19, 2018 Full Review Kelly Lawler USA Today If Freeform is looking for more late 90s/early 2000s millennial fare to revive, may I suggest Disney Channel classics "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century" or "Smart House"? Just no more dolls. I shudder to think what "Life-Size 3" might bring. Dec 3, 2018 Full Review Emily Ashby Common Sense Media Lackluster sequel struggles to find appropriate audience. Rated: 1/5 Dec 13, 2018 Full Review Jordan Snowden Pittsburgh City Paper Maybe all the stolen jokes from the first Life-Size were meant to establish nostalgia with the viewer. But it came across as laziness on the writer's part. Dec 6, 2018 Full Review Maria Sherman The Muse/Jezebel For the most part, the sequel is nothing more than a barrage of allusions to the first film and various moments from Banks's pop culture repertoire. Audience Member it's officially been 18 years since Tyra Banks made her name to stardom in the Disney Channel movie 'Life-Size', the story of a young girl accidentally bringing a Barbie-esque doll to life the original starred a young Lindsay Lohan whom lost her mother and had only her father partially paying attention to her, she tried to bring her mother back from the dead but ended up bringing Eve to life instead and as a result made a difference in one little girl's life it was silly, cheesy but full of joy and emotion now Freeform brings Tyra back in a brand new fashion; Grace Martin played by Francia Raisa plays a flawed CEO of a toy company her mother, Elanor Martin the creator of the Eve doll is serving time in prison so now it's on her shoulders to carry on the responsibility she's about to cancel the doll altogether before Christmas but her neighbor convinces her to try and use the same magical book Casey used years ago the spell works to Grace's surprise, a new version of Eve enters her life to try and help her and to remind everyone why Eve makes such an impact on little girls' lives Tyra brings a whole new energy to the role and the theme of Christmas adds a new layer heck she even raps keeping up with the current music and digital landscape Grace and her friends will need all the help they can get to save the toy industry from being overtaken by online sales plus that the board has decided to vote her out because of her erratic behavior but maybe all isnt lost for Grace; times have changed, views can turn over, even something like a doll can inspire and teach confidence its not too late to see something new and let everyone be who they are and shine bright like a star a very worthy and much more grown-up follow-up to the original! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/04/23 Full Review StephenPaul C LOL, the funniest 1.5 hours ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/23 Full Review Audience Member This was bananas and I loved it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I did't even knew this was out, when I saw it it was the prefect piece of notalgia and fresh Tyra that I needed Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The original was corny but well thought through. With the sequel I assumed it would be similar but the storyline was all over the place and was filled with sexual innuendoes. When making a follow up film like this, it should keep the content stay at the same level. I will not having my children watch this film as it explicitly speaks of sexting and eludes to sexual relationships and encounters. Overall I am very disappointed with this sequel Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Jesus. Way to take what was a cute concept originally and trash it up and make it an absolute train wreck mess. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
