Like Father unites an alarmingly talented cast for a predictable rom-com that does nothing to counter the negative stereotypes surrounding the genre.

Marcus B The only reason I'm giving this movie 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's slightly predictable. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I'm not big on predictable movies. Kelsey Grammer and Kristen Bell were great together and really sold me on this feel good movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it, I laughed, and perhaps got a little choked up. Just a fun feel good movie with some good character growth. Easy chill watch, forget the low reviews on here for this one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/26/23 Full Review James M I like this film. I find it very funny and a great film to relax with. Grammer and Bell work great together. Great film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/01/23 Full Review John H I'm not a Kristen Bell or Seth Rogan fan, but this movie was great! It's the perfect couple flic, with a lot of relationship drama. Kelsey Grammer is amazing in this, and Kristan Bell does a great job also. I can recommend this for everyone, especially if you are addicted to work (like me). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/18/23 Full Review corkball It's a cute movie. It had some really funny and touching scenes, and a great cast, including the supporting cast. If I had to criticize, the movie felt conflicted between a feel good family reunion, and a harder hitting psychodrama about a dysfunctional family. The family issues and their resolutions felt too pat for all the supposed problems they had. Ultimately, I suspect the film will end up as fairly forgettable, which is too bad, because the two leads did a good job. NO IDEA what Rogan was doing in this (gross), but he did have a funny line about never touching weed. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Mad H If you love to cruise you will absolutely love this movie. It really shows the fun of going on a cruise and how people come out of their shell and do crazy activities. My wife and I cracked up the whole time! No clue why anyone would not absolutely love this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/22 Full Review steve a This was cute and fun for what it was. Oliver Jones Observer Bell and Grammer's characters are so fuzzily rendered that they create no sparks when they butt heads in close quarters. Rated: 1/4 Aug 29, 2018 Full Review Christy Lemire What the Flick?! There is an element with early onset Alzheimer's, that in the film feels very wedged in like as the emotional underpinning that they are going for which explains certain people's actions. Rated: 4/10 Aug 10, 2018 Full Review Sophie Gilbert The Atlantic Clearly, given its algorithmic knowledge, Netflix knows things we don't... It doesn't quite explain why a film so willing to check all the comedy-cliché boxes would commit to humor least of all, particularly given how well standard fare can do. Aug 7, 2018 Full Review Pablo O. Scholz Clarín Neither karaoke with Come Sail Away... nor the appearance of Seth Rogen, keep [Like Father] from sinking. [Full review in Spanish] Sep 3, 2019 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots A huge misstep for co-writer and director Lauren Miller Rogen, who probably made this lazy vanity project so the cast and crew could get a free Caribbean vacation.
