Audience Member This is a fantastic WW2 thriller that pulls pretty accurately from the historical material it is based on. Spain's role in WW2 doesn't often get much attention, as it was neutral officially but had competing allegiances within the country. This film does a great job touching on many of those various nuances and viewers would be well advised to read up a bit on Spain's involvement in WW2 before watching. In particular, the brief Wikipedia article, "Spain during world war 2" provides sufficient background material and amounts to time well invested before pressing "play" here. All in all, Dirty Wolves makes a solid contribution to the WW2 canon while remaining entertaining and historically plausible throughout.
